Bad Santa 2
It’s one more Christmas Eve heist for Willie Soke. When his former partner in crime, Marcus, comes calling, Willie gets suckered into pulling one last job—cracking the safe at a Chicago charity and stealing the donations they’ve gathered during the season. Things aren’t as cut and dry as they should be when Willie finds out the mastermind behind the plan is the person he hates the most—his mother. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Bad Santa 2”.
· At the beginning of the movie, Willie runs the car into the valet podium. The podium breaks as it topples over and falls on its side. Two large pieces fall between the podium and the front left tire. Each piece has a card that lands on top. After Willie remarks “blah, blah, blah”, a quick wider, side view shows the broken Valet podium is standing upright in front of the car. When the others rip his vest off, the podium is on its side, on the ground and the two broken pieces are gone.
· Willie writes “Donate my organs to seince” on a piece of cardboard and drops the pen. The pen is on the lower right side of the cardboard, slanted from right to left in a downward angle. When he turns, a view of the counter shows the pen is in the middle of the cardboard and vertical before he picks it up again to write the remaining line. Willie then throws the pen. It rolls off the cardboard and onto the counter. The scene cuts to a wider view as he opens the oven and the pen is once again in the middle of the cardboard and vertical.
· Willie is talking to his mom, Sunny, at her apartment for the first time. She takes off her shirt, and underneath she’s wearing a tank top with a red bra. After she talks about cracking the safe, her right bra strap shifts positions throughout the scene. In front views, the strap is down, over the heart tattoo on her right arm. In rear views, the strap is up, on her shoulder.
“Bad Santa 2” (2016) stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates, Tony Cox, Christina Hendricks, Brett Kelly, Ryan Hansen, and Jenny Zirgrino. It runs 92 minutes and is rated R for crude sexual content and language throughout, and some graphic nudity.
